Through collaboration with the client; listening, communicating, sketching, then traditional “brush and paint” execution, I deliver powerful, professional, unforgettable imagery.

Richard has thirty-five years of experience of working with organizations large and small, well-known Fortune 500 companies, and freelance designers. After a short stint at Hallmark Greeting Cards in Kansas City, MO, Richard struck out on his own. He put together a portfolio of mostly college pieces and moved to Vermont. For two years Richard traveled from Montreal to Boston looking for any opportunity to illustrate for agencies, publishers, newspapers, and small card companies. Eventually he secured a rep in Boston and started getting a lot of work with the upstart computer magazine Publisher “Apple”.
He moved his family back to Ohio two years later and joined a very talented group of Illustrators, the Illustrated Alaskan Moose (IAM). During his eleven years at IAM his career took off. He worked on many high profile projects like Meads “Trapper Keeper” series, Tonka Toys “Transformers” and the National Football League's “Super Bowl 32” theme artwork. His client list was an endless list of recognizable names: Chase Manhattan Bank, Honda, Wendy’s, American Kennel Club, the National Hockey League, the Pittsburg Pirates, The Limited, Abercrombie & Fitch, Goodyear, Toyo Tires, Longaberger Baskets, and the list goes on.
One of Richard's favorite aspects of his career, his life as an illustrator, has been the variety of work, projects, clients, content, techniques, media, even deadlines (which he has yet to miss). Every day is different, every project its own unique experience.
